Upgrading to a Traveler Series torque converter with a slightly higher stall speed than the stock converter can improve pulling power at low speeds for your motor home, towing vehicle, or other heavy duty application. It is manufactured to exacting tolerances for a long life, and should help get the vehicle moving from a stop without sacrificing normal highway operation. The fins in the impeller and turbine are fully furnace brazed (not spot brazed), and the unit is fully balanced and pressure tested. Many of the components are new, including the precision alloy pump drive tube, the thrust washer between the turbine and cover, the spring and rollers in the stator, and the heavy duty needle thrust bearings (not a thrust washer) between the stator and the turbine. Please Note: High stall torque converters can build extra heat, so supplementary transmission cooling is recommended to avoid premature transmission failure, and this converter should not be used with a transbrake.
